NIDA — A Milburn man was critically injured early Tuesday when the motorcycle he was riding was hit head on by a car on State Highway 78.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports indicate Donald Green, 52, was air lifted from the scene of the 5:45 a.m. accident, 1/2 mile south of Nida. He was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Green sustained multiple injuries. He was admitted to the metro hospital in critical condition.
Tammy Bean, 49, Madill, identified as the driver of a 2006 Ford was taken by ambulance to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant. Bean was treated for a back injury and later released.
Bean was northbound on the highway in a 2006 Ford. The car ran off the road. Bean overcorrected sending the car into the path of Green's southbound 2012 Harley Davidson.
Green was wearing a helmet and Bean was wearing a seatbelt.
Cause of the crash was listed as inattention.
