  • William "Scotty" Scott Caldwell, age 55, of Ardmore, Okla., passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Oklahoma City. Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Gene Autry Cemetery, Gene Autry, Okla.
    Scotty was born on Sept. 13, 1957, to Billy Gene Caldwell and Barbara "Bobby" (Porter) Caldwell at Orange County, Calif. He graduated from Springer High School in 1976 and went to work as a derickman in the oils fields and also worked on road crews. He excelled in all aspects of construction. He was an outdoorsman and, in his youth, Scotty enjoyed noodling and competing as a bull rider in rodeos. He married Jana Elane Whalen on July 8, 2008, at Lone Grove, Okla. Scotty was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and son River Blue Caldwell.
    Scotty is survived by his wife. Five children; Toni Caldwell-Thomas, Willy Roth, Echo Caldwell, Fancy Caldwell, and Tuesday Caldwell. Six grandchildren and one on the way. Sister Toyah Pedigo and brother Rusty Caldwell. Three nieces and two nephews.
    In lieu of flowers family has asked for donation to the family memorial fund at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home. At P.O. Box 2475, Ardmore, OK
    Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Caldwell, Ace Pedigo, Garland Driskill, Russell Varnell, Billy Downey, Ryan Tarver, Sheldon Tarver, Russell Caldwell, Jerry Ford, Scott Sampley, Jimmy Johnson, Harley Blackwood, Bryan Hill and Steve Palmer.
