CHARLESTON, W. Va.. — Oklahoma couldn't hold off West Virginia Saturday as the Mountaineers hit lights out at Appalachian Power Park for a 9-3 win over the Sooners.

West Virginia (28-20, 10-7 Big 12) scored three unearned runs in the sixth inning and added five two-out scores in the eighth to stifle Oklahoma's opportunity at a second straight rally.

After allowing two base hits to begin his start, OU's Jake Fisher (1-2) retired 16 straight Mountaineers in order with the help of two double plays by the Sooner defense.
