Do you swim? Bike? Run? Put them together and take the sports challenge this summer during the 19th annual Oklahoma City Community College (SuperSprint Triathlon set for 7:30 a.m. June 8.

This USA triathlon-sanctioned event is great for both first-time and seasoned athletes who can complete the event alone or cross the finish line as a team. Athletes will swim 500 meters in the OCCC Aquatic Center pool; ride a two-loop, 12 mile course around the OCCC campus, and lastly, run an out and back 5k on the OCCC campus.

Participants will have the chance to win a Cannondale Slice 5 105 Time Trial Bike donated by 405 Bicycles. You must race and be present at the awards ceremony to be eligible to win.

Event cost for individual athletes:

May 1-10: $50

May 11-31: $55

June 1-4: $60

Event cost for two to three-person relay teams:

May 1-10: $85

May 11-31: $90

June 1-4: $95

Sponsorship Opportunities

A portion of the proceeds from the triathlon will benefit the OCCC Recreation and Fitness Department Scholarship Fund that provides scholarships to children and families in our community who wish to participate in the programs and services offered but are unable to due to financial hardship.

Gold: $1,000.00 and up

Silver: $500.00 and up

Bronze: $250.00 and up

Volunteer Opportunities

If you're not able to participate in the event this year but would like to volunteer on the "sidelines," there are several opportunities. Volunteers are needed at the water stations, at the finish line, directing participants, and of course, in the cheering section. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and food and drinks for their assistance with the event.
