ADA — A 23-year-old Sulphur man was critically injured Tuesday afternoon in a single vehicle crash on State Highway 1 about 5 miles south of Ada.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Cody Wayne McCullah, was taken to Valley View Hospital in Ada. He was then air lifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. McCullah was admitted to the metro hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries.
Patrol reports indicate McCullah was a passenger in a 2000 Pontiac, driven by Kasey Cummins, 22, Sulphur. Cummins was driving northbound about 3:45 p.m. when she fell asleep at the wheel. The car ran off the road and hit a tree.
Cummins refused medical treatment for a leg injury at the scene.
Adrien Rayne Neal, 3, also a passenger in the car, was not injured.
All occupants of the car were buckled up at the time of the crash.
