Cold, misty weather didn't deter the Leon Cemetery group on May 2 as they dedicated their day to cleaning up.

A noon lunch was provided by the ladies of the group and a business meeting was directly after the meal.

The group discussed the survey of a 13.83 acre addition on the northeast corner of the cemetery and the fence that will accompany it.

In new business, members had to decide on board members, as the by-laws require new officers every odd year. However, no change was needed as all board members were unanimously voted back to their seats.

On May 4, a great number of people supported the cemetery with food brought to the pavilion. Larry Hicks thanked everyone for the hard work, saying the dedication members show helps keep the cemetery in great condition.
