RINGLING – Services for Peggy D. "Penny" (Burton) Nichols, 61, of Overbrook are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Community Fellowship Outreach Center in Ringling, with Pastor Donnie Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Dixie Cemetery.

Penny was born Oct. 15, 1951 in Comanche, to Frank and Sada Lavada (Skeen) Burton. She passed from this life Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Marietta.

She attended school in Loco and Velma. She was then employed as a bookkeeper for several different businesses in the area, before establishing her own business, where she served as owner and operator of Penny's Pilot Service.

Penny and John Nichols was married on Sept. 15, 1993 in Ardmore, making their home in Overbrook. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed gardening, and she loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and making sure she was there to cheer them on at all their sporting events. Penny attended the Crossroads Pentecostal Church in Lone Grove. She will truly be missed by all her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband John of the home; daughter Paula Breakfield and husband Dink of Velma; son Greg Griffith and wife Sherrie of Velma; daughter Jammey and Chris Howard of Ardmore; stepson Jacky Nichols of Duncan; stepdaughters Susan Riddle and Laurie McKown, both of Ardmore; sisters Juanita Keenan of Alma, Louise Gandy of Duncan and Jessie Southerland of Velma; brothers Buford Burton of Little City and Don Burton of Velma; eight grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Joe Southerland, Jerry Southerland, Jackie D. Southerland, Mark Keenan, Monty Keenan, Rigen Howard and Brandon Breakfield. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today at the Roberts Funeral Home in Ringling.
