A contract for highway improvements has been awarded to Love County. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said the project involves one mile of resurfacing and bridge improvements on Interstate 35 near the north half of the interchange at Winstar Boulevard.
Sen. Frank Simpson (R-Ardmore) said the state awarded a contract of nearly $7.5 million to Silver Star Construction Co., Inc. The company, based out of Moore, was the lowest of four bidders for the job, Rep. Tommy Hardin (R-Madill), said. Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within seven months.
