The Brass Ring will open its Summer Youth Theatre program with "Annie Kids" today

This adaptation is a condensed version of the timeless hit made famous on Broadway and the 1982 film. All of the favorite songs from the original score, including "Tomorrow," "Hard Knock Life," "Maybe," "Easy Street," "Little Girls," "NYC" and "Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" are in "Annie Kids."

The cast of kindergarten through 2nd graders has been hard at work for the last several weeks on music, choreography and acting.

The cast includes Haylie Orr as Annie, Ethan Peloquin as Oliver Warbucks, Emerson Royse as Miss Hannigan, Rylie Jo McDonald as Grace Farrell, Lionel Brown as Rooster, Briesie Stewart as Lilly St. Regis, Taylor Landis as Molly, Grace Norton as Tessie, Maisie Hartwell as Pepper, Skylar Ross as Duffy, Molly Harlow as July, Matlyn Gerken as Kate and William Hall as Sandy.

Other orphans are Andi-Mari Reuter, Kylie Cox, Brooklyn Langford, Peyton Brooks, Carmen Ward, Madelyn Hall, Teddy Pfau, Norah Orr and Jessica Lewis.

Other characters are Jourden Shirley as Bundles, Sarah Southward as Lt. Ward, Jackson Ezell as Bert Healey and President Roosevelt, Creed McDonald as Louis Howe, Zaria Stoughtenborough as the usherette, Andi Reuter and Kylie Cox as the Stars to Be, Camden Hudson as Drake, Yaherli De le Torre, Lizzy Morton, Caymen Pittman, Aubrielle Kretzschmar and Rhayliegh James as Warbuck's servents.

The New Yorkers include Yariel De le Torre, Lindsey Lamplain, Hannah McMullen Elizabeht Fairmaner, Kadence Lampkin, Mya Harris, Carys Hudson, Presley Caldwell, Lola Caldwell, Shelby Heptinstall, Regan Heptinstall, Keona Ellis, Dara Hicks, Katie Deere, Mieka Spears and Lilly Boyd.

"Annie Kids" is directed and choreographed by Elizabeth Patterson with Vicki Gelona serving as music director. Assisting the directors are Samantha Reser and Antonio Rodriguez.

Performances are at The Brass Ring, 120 Caddo Street NE (formally A Street NE) Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
