Hugo navtive Cortez Coleman is one of 26 fighters featured on the card of Bellator MMA Wednesday from WinStar World Casino in Thackerville.
Coleman (9-3, 3 KOs, 3 submissions) will face Keith Berry (14-10, 9 KOs, 4 submissions) on the preliminary card in Bellator's middlweight feature fight. Coleman (6-foot, 185 pounds) will fight in a Bellator cage for the second time in his career.
The 31-year-old has won his last two fights, beating Matt Jones via unanimous decision at Bellator 86 in January and topping Brandon Lyons via submission in April 2012.
Bellator MMA is the world's largest tournament-based mixed martial arts organization, televised to nearly 500 million homes in more than 117 countries. As part of the main card, Wednesday's event will also have the light heavyweight tournament semifinals, featuring King Mo Lawal (9-2) vs. Seth Petruzelli (14-7) and Renato "Babalu" Sobral (37-10) vs. Jacob Noe (11-2).
In the heavyweight tournament, Vinicius "Spartan" Queiroz (6-3) will face Rich Hale (21-5), while Vitaly Minakov (10-0) takes on Ron Sparks (8-1). War Machine (12-4) will fight Blas Avena (8-6) in the welterweight feature fight.
The even marks the beginning of the Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight Tournament Summer Series. Coleman's bout is one of eight fights on the preliminary card.
The main card fights will be broadcast live on Spike TV beginning at 6 p.m., and the preliminary card will be available at 5 p.m. on Spike.com. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and tickets are available at the WinStar box office or ticketmaster.com.
