  • Norma Jean (Lemons) Perkins, 75, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Ardmore, Okla. Visitation services will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Griffin-Hillcrest, Ardmore. The family will hold private services at a later date.
    Born on April 13, 1938, to C.H. "Bud" and Audra Ora (Cambron) Lemons at Meadowbrook, Okla., Norma was in the last graduating class at Meadowbrook High School. She worked for Western Union Telegraph, where she retired and then had several part-time jobs after retirement. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the NRA and an Auxiliary member of the Coast Guard. Norma had many hobbies, including gardening, quilting and dancing. She bowled on several different leagues.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, C.H. "Bud" and Audra Ora Lemons; spouses, Guy Lucian Coward, George E. Bachman and C.E. "Perk" Perkins; sister, Nelda Jayne Hamilton; and great-granddaughter, Bridget Lyn Bond.
    Norma is survived by daughters, Jaynie Lynn Gores and son-in-law, Dr. David Gores of Ardmore, and Ora Lou Fincher and son-in-law, Joe Fincher of Madill; son, Orville Hugh Lanier of Kingman, Kan.; grandchildren, Jeremy Cumbie, Ardmore, Ashton Gores, Shawnee, Christopher and Christine Gores, Ft. Worth, Texas, Jon and McKenzie Gores, Edmond, Okla., John Parten, Madill, Laramie Parten, Madill, Okla., Jody and Miranda Fincher, Marietta, Brandy and Billy Bond, Thackerville, Matthew Lanier, Ogden, Utah, and Alycia Lanier, Ogden, Utah; great-grandchildren, Vivian Gores, Ft. Worth, Texas, Logan Parten, California, Elizabeth Parten, Junction, Texas, Bryson Parten, Gordonville, Texas, Caleb Fincher, Marietta, Marissa Fincher, Marietta, Tyler Bond, Thackerville, Tatum Bond, Thackerville, and Tucker Bond, Thackerville; four siblings, C.H. "Buddy" and Eyvonna Lemons, Leon, Okla., Jimmie Lanier, Enville, Okla., Mary and Joe Robnett, Jimtown, Okla., and Stanley and Mary Lemons, Dill, Okla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
