  • Services for Charlie Bob Roberts, 64, of Dallas, Texas, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with the Rev. Alex Costea officiating. Interment will be in Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
    Charlie was born July 9, 1948, in Lubbock County, Texas, to Lawrence Nathaniel Roberts and Shirley (Helms) Roberts. He passed from this life June 14, 2013, in Dallas, Texas.
    He attended schools in Ringling, Oklahoma, and graduated from Ringling High School in 1966.
    Charlie was Vice President of the Student Council, Boys State Representative in 1965 and was active in football and track. He graduated from Cameron State College in Lawton, Okla., with an associate degree in 1968. Charlie graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics.
    He resided in Dallas, Texas, where he worked in wholesale and retail apparel business and was currently employed as an independent insurance agent.
    Preceding him in death were his parents, Lawrence Nathaniel Roberts and Shirley Roberts.
    Survivors include many business associates, friends and relatives.
    Pallbearers are Larry Adair, Juan Stone, Harold Patmon, Dr. Blane Adair, Mike Moore and Peck Pemberton.
    Honorary bearers are Braedon Cagle, Ltc. Wade Adair, Ashley Henley and Tom Cole.
