  • The family of Maxine Gertrude Rose will have a time of visitation and remembrance from 4 to 5 Saturday afternoon at the Craddock Funeral Home. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date.
    Mrs. Rose was born Dec. 11, 1913, in Healdton, to Earl and Hettie (Ingram) Cornish. She passed this life on July 2, 2013, in a local health care facility. She and Clarence John Rose were married Aug. 16, 1932, in Carter County. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
    She is survived by one son, Don Rose and his wife, Kathy of Ardmore; a sister, Virginia Pursley of Louisiana; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by two sons, Gilbert Rose and Bobby Rose; two brothers, Wilton and Billy Earl Cornish; and one sister, Geraldine Hoover.
    Memorials may be left to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
