Helen Clarice Chism, 99, passed away on July 1, 2013, in Ardmore. Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, Colo.
Helen was born May 11, 1914, in Plattsmouth, Neb., to Edwin Worl and Etta Mae (Schwab) Worl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a son, Troy Frank; three grandchildren, Garie Frank, Stephen Dale Frank and Janice Marie Frank; two brothers; and three sisters.
Helen married her first husband, LaNear Frank, in 1931 at Ft. Morgan, Colo. He preceded her in death in 1981. She married Elmer Chism in 1985 in Greeley, Colo., and he preceded her in death in 1998. She worked with her husband running LaNear Frank Trucking business in Dailey, Colo., and after selling it, they moved to Sterling, Colo., where they owned and managed an apartment complex, later selling it and moving to Greeley, Colo. Helen worked for the school, first as kitchen help and then as a teacher's aide. She later moved to Ardmore to be closer to her family. She loved crocheting up until her final days.
Helen is survived by her son, L. Keith Frank of Ardmore; her daughter, Delores Bedingfield of Artesia, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
