An Ardmore woman, scheduled to appear in district court July 31 to enter pleas in two drug cases, now faces a third drug charge.

Charly Woods was arrested about 3:44 p.m. Monday by an Ardmore police officer on routine patrol in the 1500 block of Mt. Washington Rd. Woods was taken into custody without incident. She was booked into the Carter County Detention Center.

Tuesday, prosecutors filed a felony possession of controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) within 1,000 feet of a park against Woods. She made an initial court appearance where bond on the new charge was set at $25,000.

At the time of her arrest Monday, Woods was free after posting $40,000 in bonds resulting from two arrests in February. Ardmore police arrested the 31-year-old woman Feb. 11, and she was charged with possession of CDS (oxycodone). She was released from the county jail when she posted a $10,000 bond in the case.

But just weeks later, she was back behind bars following her second arrest by APD officers on Feb. 27. This time, the charge was possession of CDS (methamphetamine). She posted a $30,000 bond in that case and was again released from the CCDC.

A CCDC spokesperson late Tuesday said Woods remained jailed pending the posting of her third bond.
