  • Terry Eugene French, age 51, passed from this life into the arms of God on July 22, 2013, in Ardmore, Okla. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 27, 2013, in The Chapel at Griffin~Hillcrest, Ardmore, Okla. Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Terry was born on November 22, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to Noel and Dorothy (Capps) French. He spent most of his life in the Ardmore area. It was here that he accepted Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church, where he attended throughout his youth. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1981. Terry went to work in the construction industry, working with a masonry crew. He moved on to work at Uniroyal, but was proud of the construction work he did, and frequently pointed out buildings he helped build. Terry really liked cars and had a special fondness for old Corvettes and Camaros. He restored a few and enjoyed the process, especially the body work and painting.
Terry was also a sports fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, and if they were on television, he was watching. Terry had a big heart, would do anything to help, and was always able to find a way to smile and laugh.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Dorothy; and a nephew, Matthew French of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is survived by his brothers, Paul and wife, Nancy, of Edmond, Kevin and wife, Stephanie, of Ardmore, and Dan and wife, Parastou, of Frisco, Texas. He also leaves behind his nephews, Mark and Braden French of Ardmore, Joshua French of Muskegon, Michigan, and Christopher and Daniel French of St. Petersburg, Florida.
