Clifford Dee Henry Wall Jr., 58, of Del City, was charged with feloniously pointing a firearm and domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following a domestic incident at the Flying J Truck Stop early Monday morning. Wall's bond was set at $7,500, and he remained in custody at the Carter County Detention Center Monday afternoon.
Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt, Ardmore Police Department public information officer, said officers responded to a call of an armed man at the Flying J. The response time was listed as 4:46 a.m. An initial investigation indicated Wall had traveled from Del City to meet with what was described as a 22-year-old ex-girlfriend to exchange property. The meeting turned violent as Wall brought out a shotgun and struck the girl, inflicting what was described as minor injuries.
The woman brought a male companion with her. The companion responded to the situation by picking up a plastic baseball bat and chased Wall into the store. Hunnicutt said no one was injured in the store, as Wall put down his shotgun and was eventually arrested without incident.
