Services for Raymond Carl Coyle, 90, of Wynnewood, formerly of Marietta, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Paul Riley officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.

Mr. Coyle was born Jan. 14, 1923, at Burneyville, the son of Ernest Earl "Dude" Coyle and Maude Morris Coyle. He passed away Monday, Aug. 5, in the Oklahoma Veterans Center, Sulphur.

As a young man, Raymond worked in the shipyards in California and then in the oil fields. He and Lillie Hull were married in Marietta on Nov. 17, 1943, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 4, 2004. In 1958, the couple came to Jimtown where he worked as a driller in the oil field and raised cattle. In the '70s, they moved to Marietta where he raised cattle and continued to work in the oil field. Mr. Coyle loved going to horse races, drinking everclear and playing poker. He enjoyed being with his family and his dogs, Maggie and Pupper. Mr. Coyle was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ. On May 16, 2008, he married Lana Smith in Mena, Ark.

Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillie; his parents; three brothers Earl Coyle, Vernon Coyle and Utah Coyle; sister Elena Loving; grandson Scott Coyle; and son-in-law Louis Perry.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Elray and Jo Coyle of Burneyville; daughter Raemona Perry of Wynnewood; three grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Serving as casket bearers will be Raymond B. Coyle, Blake Coyle, Mike Coyle, Robert Riley, Raymond Gilbreath and Jerry Coyle. Honorary bearers are friends from the oil field.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
