Funeral service for Robert Allen Satterly, 66, of Ardmore, will be conducted at 4 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4123 Prairie Valley Road, followed by a private scattering of his ashes at a later date.
Mr. Satterly died peacefully in his sleep early Saturday morning, Aug. 3, 2013.
He has been a resident of Ardmore for 29 years after he moved his family here in 1984. He worked as an electrician for Michelin.
Bob, as he was known by, was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Seymour, Jackson, Ind. He is the son of the late Quinten Rudolph Satterly and Elsie Lucille Richardson Satterly.
He is survived by his wife, Sharron Satterly, who he married on Sept. 30, 1968. He is also survived by six children Tracey Lynn Ramsey of Houston, Robert Orville Satterly of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Maree Elaine Adams of Haskell, Okla., Kevin Rudolph Satterly of Westminster, Colo. and David Warren Satterly of Shalimar, Fla. and Rob Allen Barker of Indiana; 14 surviving grandchildren Shawn Patrick Ramsey, Samuel Arthur Satterly, Shane Daniel Satterly, Mason Grant Eastman, Stephanie Lea Whitney, Heather Susanne Adams, David Alexander Satterly, Chase Nathaniel Satterly, Michael Levi Satterly, Tay Maree Satterly, Brianna Nikole Satterly, Jacob Orin Satterly, Beth Meagan Satterly and Katie Barker; five great-grandchildren Baryon Anthony Satterly, Draven Thomas Black, Ari Gracynn Whitney, Zane Barker and Rylan Barker.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Arthur Satterly; his brother, Douglas Rudolph Satterly, his sister, Elizabeth Ann Satterly; and his grandchild, Shawn Manuel Woolbright.
