These results are based on a survey of 15,000 U.S. likely voters:
President Obama’s total job approval held steady at 47 percent in July, tying the president’s lowest approval rating since December 2011.
The president’s ratings for the past two months are more in line with his approval during most of his first term in office.
In July, 51 percent disapproved of the president’s performance, also showing no change from June.
24 percent of voters strongly approved of the president’s job performance in July, also showing no change from the previous month, while 39 percent strongly disapproved of the job he is doing, down a point from the month before.
This gives Obama a full-month Presidential Approval Index rating of -15 for July, a one-point improvement from June.
