  • DAVIS — Not a bad start for the Davis Wolves.
    Freshman pitchers Macie Buckaloo and Taylor Martin combined for a no-hitter in a 16-0 victory over Crooked Oak, and Buckaloo followed that with a two-hit shutout of Mill Creek, 7-0, in a three-way on Tuesday.
    In game 1 against Mill Creek, Davis scored all of its runs in the first three innings. The Wolves had a 3-0 lead before Becky Wilson's two-run home run broke the game open at 5-0.
    Casady Webb had three hits, including two doubles, and three runs scored to lead Davis. Jaycee Sanders, Lexi Williams, Konlee Dulaney and Jolie Romine each had two hits.
    Buckaloo started for Davis, and Martin pitched the final two innings. Each pitcher struck out four batters.
    In game 2, Davis scored four run in the third and three in the fourth. Romine had two hits and two RBIs to pace the Wolves.
    Buckaloo struck out eight and walked two in five innings.

    DURANT — Dickson was shut out of its season opener against Durant on Tuesday.
    Durant scored two runs each in the third and fifth innings. Dickson starter Madison Rozzell pitched six innings, walking one and striking out four in the loss.
    Brittney Wood had three of Dickson's seven hits. Rozzell and Abby McLaughlin each added a double for the Comets (0-1).
    Dickson plays Chandler (4 p.m.) and Mustang JV (7 p.m.) at the Chisholm Trail Tournament on Thursday in Shawnee.

    Tishomingo 13, Coalgate 5
    COALGATE — Tishomingo lost its starting pitcher, but the Indians rallied with offense to take down Coalgate in their season opener.
    Page 2 of 2 - Tishomingo starter Jaysa Northcutt had to leave the game in the second inning due to a shoulder injury. The Indians trailed 5-2 after two innings, but scored five runs in the third inning to take the lead for good. Hannah Brokaw came on in relief for the win, giving up just one run and one walk over four innings.
    Kailee Thomas drove in a team-high three runs, and Susie Brokaw, Emily Priddy and Destiny Justus each drove in two runs for Tishomingo (1-0).
    Thomas and Priddy each had two hits and Susie Brokaw added three.

    BURNEYVILLE — Turner picked up its first win of the season by outhitting Ringling.
    Turner (1-0) shot out to a 6-1 lead before Ringling closed the gap to two runs in the fifth inning.
    Allie Foster paced the Falcons with three hits and Andi McGill, Jacey Henry and Perri McGill each had two hits. Angel Stoker, Chandler Smith and Taylar Boss each had two hits for Ringling.

    HEALDTON — Four Healdton players had two hits each and the Bulldogs rolled to a season-opening win over Waurika.
    Healdton pitcher Jenna Martin threw four innings and gave up only two hits. Martin also was 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple.
    Caycee Griffin was 2-for-4 with a double, Mikaela Blakemore was 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and Abbie Etter was 2-for-3, as well.
    Kearington Morris had one of the two hits for Waurika with a triple. Morris also took the loss for the Eagles.
