Funeral services for Doyle Pulis, 58, of Pruitt City, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Ratliff City Cemetery Pavilion, with the Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Doyle was born July 30, 1955, at Snyder, Texas, to the late Robert Henry Pulis and Vesta Lee Pulis. He departed this life Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Oklahoma City.
Doyle was raised in Pruitt City, attending school at Fox. He was employed most of his working years in the oilfield, working on well service rigs as a floor hand. He married the former Connie Sue Bolding on May 4, 1981, at Burns Flatt, Okla. They resided at various places within Oklahoma following the oilfield, moving to the Ratliff City area in 1985. Locally, he was employed for several well servicing companies, lastly being employed for Basic.
Doyle was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to watch television and do woodworking, making walking canes and such. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Healdton.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Billy Bob, Kenneth Ray and Robert Dean; and three sisters, Virginia Lee, Barbara Ann and Ella Mae.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Sue of Wynnewood; son, Mark Allen Pulis of Wynnewood; sisters, Betty Oakley and husband, Butch of Sulphur, Phyllis Bartlett and husband, David of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Tricia Bloodworth and husband, David of Davis; and numerous other family, nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
