A survey conducted Friday with 1,000 American adults showed 70 percent rated their overall health as good or excellent.
Generally the results were unchanged from the years ago when the survey was lasted conducted. Seven percent of those surveyed said their health was poor, 15 percent think they are healthier than a year ago and 18 percent said their health had gotten worse.
Most adults (65 percent) said compared to last year their health has remained about the same.
Looking ahead to 2014 24 percent said they expect to be healthier; seven percent think their health will decline and 61 percent expect it to stay about the same.
Thirty-six percent said they were overweight.
