  • A three-week undercover drug investigation ended Monday when Ardmore Police Department Narcotics Division officers served a search warrant at a Roff Street residence, arresting two men and seizing drugs, cash and an illegal weapon.
Sgt. Keith Ingle, APDND, said the warrant was served without incident. George Toomer, 38, identified as the occupant of the house, located in the 900 block of Roff Street, and Steve Fuller, 42, were both booked into the Carter County Detention Center pending felony charges. Tuesday, formal charges were filed by the district attorney's office. Toomer faces maintaining a dwelling for the use/sale of controlled dangerous substances, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony. Fuller faces a single distribution of CDS charge.
In addition to the arrests of Toomer and Fuller, Ingle said officers confiscated 4 grams of crack cocaine, more than 23 grams of marijuana that he described as "packaged for sale," a loaded firearm and a substantial amount of cash.
A third man was also detained, but was not charged as a result of the raid.
Ingle said the APD was assisted in serving the warrant by Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents and Lighthorse police officers.
Toomer and Fuller made initial appearances in Carter County District Court Tuesday afternoon. A $60,000 bond was set on the charges filed against Toomer. A $45,000 bond was set on the charge against Fuller, who has criminal history, including multiple previous drug charges. Preliminary conferences were set in both cases for October. Late Tuesday CCDC records indicated both men remained incarcerated pending the posting of bond and/or the outcome of their cases.
Meanwhile Ingle urged local residents to get involved.
"As always we encourage anyone who observes suspicious activity in their neighborhoods or workplaces to call us," he said. The APDND can be reached at (580) 226-9712. Callers can remain anonymous.
