Services for Dean Jenkins will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ardmore, with Dr. Rick Baggett, Rev. Carl Taylor and Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Dean was born May 9, 1936 at Teague, Texas to Clyde Jenkins and Florence Mulvahill Jenkins. He passed from this life Sept. 15, 2013 in Wilson.

Dean left school in the eighth grade to help support his family. He went to work in the oil field in 1956. He and Mary Vendalle Seals were married July 28, 1957, and started his own oil business in 1967 as owner and operator of Dean's Well Servicing in Lone Grove and Ratliff City. She preceded him in death Sept. 2, 1991. He later married Devry Sparks Sept. 1, 1999. They had many wonderful years together. He enjoyed going to South Dakota pheasant hunting with the same group of men for 35-36 years. Dean loved to work in the oil field, and was recognized by the AOSC for many years of service.

He is survived by his wife Devry of the home; son Ron Jenkins and his wife Mary Lu of Ratliff City; sister Joyce Wegner of Duncan; brother Donald Ray Jenkins of Velma; grandchildren Jase Michael Jenkins, Trenton Dale Jenkins, Alexandra Raper and Lydia Helen Raper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary and brother Bill Jenkins. Pallbearers will be Carl Taylor, Tim Johnson, James Lewis, Keith Morse, Jim Hoggard and Johnny Walker.
