Services for Bruce Brannan, 52, of Austin, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, in the Chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawrence Anderson officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, will follow under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta.

Born on Dec. 27, 1960, in Ardmore, the son of W.R. "Bill" Brannan and Bette R. Beindorf Brannan, he passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, in Austin, Texas.

Born and raised in Love County, Bruce had lived most of his life in the Austin area. He was a musician and a true lover of music. He was chosen to represent Oklahoma in the McDonald's Band, an honor bestowed on a select number of musicians. In addition, Bruce was a car enthusiast. While making his home here, he attended the First Christian Church in Marietta. Bruce will be remembered as a private, kindhearted and loving man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Zack Brannan on March 3, 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Brannan of the home; brother, Rick Brannan of Marietta; and numerous nieces.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tim Garner, Gene Williams, Bobby Sharp, Pat Arbuckle, David Lively and John Maldinado. Honorary bearers are Eric Griffin, David Burns, Brent Lemons and David Hays.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
