  • After falling behind 3-0, the East Central University soccer team attempted a comeback, but fell just short against Midwestern State. The Lady Tigers fell 3-2 to the Mustangs at MSU Soccer Field in non-conference action.

The Lady Tigers (0-6) were paced by junior Kourtney Holleman, who tallied her third goal of the season and the second in as many games. Sophomore Krista Kahl added the second goal, her first of the season.

Redshirt freshman Taylor Lowe started the game in net for ECU, playing the first 45 minutes, recording four saves and allowing two goals. Freshman Lexi Hurley took the shift in net in the second half, recording three saves and allowing one goal.

The Lady Tigers fell behind 0-2 in the first half, when the Mustangs (3-2) scored two goals in a 7-minute span. MSU added a third goal around the 66-minute mark.

That's when ECU came to life and scored the next two goals. Holleman added her third of the season at 82:31. Less than three minutes later, Kahl added her first goal of the season on a penalty kick.
