Graveside services for Gerald Richard Elliott will be 2 p.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Lee officiating.
Gerald Richard Elliott was born on November 21, 1924, to Miller and Agnes Gertrude Elliott and died on September 29, 2013.
He was a member of the Advent Christian Church where he taught the adult Sunday school class for several years.
He loved to read, listen to music, watch old movies, work crossword puzzles, watch OU football and basketball and especially reminiscing with family and friends. Richard worked at Tinker Air Force Base in his earlier years and worked at Ardmore D.H.S. for 38 years until he retired.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Elliott; two sisters, Norma Elliott Woodley and Lellia Elliott Tillman; and two nephews, Fred Allen Tillman and Larry Tillman.
He is survived by one nephew, Wesley Tillman of Oklahoma City; five nieces, Mary Woodley of Ardmore; Ollene Woodley Carmack of Montgomery, Texas, Rosie Hoskison of Oklahoma City, Carolyn Bradley of Dale, and Freida Elliott of Ardmore; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
