Affordable homework help is available at the Chickasaw (Regional) Public Library System through the use of Brainfuse, a database for online learning solutions. It is a unique set of services designed to support a wide range of learning needs, including expert tutoring, self-study and collaborative learning.
Brainfuse is free to learners of all ages with a CRLS Library Card and allows users interactive features 24/7 and live tutors every day from 2-11 p.m., except major holidays.
Brainfuse allows tutors and students to communicate in real time-whatever the student types or draws the tutor sees simultaneously.
"This is a wonderful tool for students wanting to complete homework assignments after school," said Pam Bean, head reference librarian. "We have had several students work on math problems with the live tutors and with excellent results."
Brainfuse has significantly boosted academic performance for thousands of students. Users can identify skill gaps and individual needs through a pre-test. The research-based tutoring and online learning solutions can assist all ages including college students.
"It is often difficult to find qualified tutors," said Bean. "These tutors are not only qualified, they are free."
CRLS-Ardmore is open from 8:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, which gives ample time for students to use the database and public computers. The service is also available remotely anytime with a CRLS library card.
