The Love County Library will have a two-day rocket program beginning Thursday.

From 1-3 p.m. Thursday, students will learn basic rocketry and build their own model rocket. Participants will put their final touches on the rockets and launch them from 1-3 p.m. the next day. The public is invited to watch the launching.

"We are excited to hold our second rocket program," said Shawn Brown, youth services coordinator. "This event appeals to the teens, and we are thrilled to provide such an exciting and educational program."

Interested participants must be at least 11 years of age and commit to the two-day agenda. The program is free and open to the public. Space is limited to 12 people. Reservations are required.

To register, call branch manager Niki Powell at (580) 276-3783 or (888) 520-8098. Love County Library is located at 500 S. Highway 77.
