Ardmore police are searching for an intoxicated, strong-arm robber who managed to steal a bottle of vodka from a liquor store Friday afternoon, but not before having to wrestle a store clerk for the merchandise.
Sgt. Brice Woolly, Ardmore Police Department Patrol Division, said the James Palmer has been identified as the man who pulled off the armed robbery about 5:20 p.m. inside a store located in the 1300 block of Sam Noble Parkway.
"He walked into the store and grabbed some bottles of vodka. He started to walk out. The clerk tried to stop him, and they tussled," Woolly said. "Palmer did manage to leave the store with at least one bottle of vodka."
Police reports indicate the store clerk sustained minor injuries as a result of the armed robbery.
