  • Funeral services for E.M. Marion are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will hold a visitation today from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Craddock Funeral Home.
    E.M. Marion was born September 15, 1940, in Oil Springs, Okla., to Lon and Vina Mae Bartee Marion. He passed this life on October 17, 2013, at his residence in Ardmore. He attended Southeastern College. He and Carol Keith Bartsch were married on March 28, 1981, in Marsden, Okla. He retired from the Oklahoma Health Department as a jail inspector.
    He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, where he was a member of the Charles Swindell Sunday School Class. His church was a very important part of his life. He enjoyed his Sunday school class and taking up the offering at the church services. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his Lord and his family. He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Carol; children, Mark Marion and his wife, Aylisa of Ardmore, Lee Anne Singleton of Ardmore; stepchildren, Keith Bartsch and his wife, Delaine of Tulsa, Kara Pearson and her husband, Paul of Ardmore, Kevin Bartsch and his wife, Marie of Wichita, Kansas; sister-in-law, Connie Marion of Goldsby, Okla.; grandchildren, April Mueller, Tori Ford and husband, Ben, Evan Pearson and wife, Payton, Jacob Bartsch, Ryan Pearson, Kyle Singleton, Samuel Bartsch, Rachel Bartsch, Nathan Bartsch; great-grandchildren, Chloe Mueller and Brent Singleton.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Vina Mae Marion; brothers, Bobby Marion, Don Duke, Charles Duke; grandson, Brent Marion; and granddaughter, Caroline Bartsch.
    Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Bartsch, Paul Pearson, Jacob Bartsch, Samuel Bartsch, Evan Pearson and Ryan Pearson.
    Honorary bearers will be the Charles Swindell Sunday School Class.
