  • Robert Stewart, 48, of Ardmore, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in The Chapel at Griffin-Hillcrest, Ardmore. Interment to follow at 3 p.m. at New Salem Cemetery at Jack Town, Meeker, Okla. Services will be lead by Paul Stewart.
    Robert was born on July 30, 1965, at Long Beach, Calif., to Bob Bell and Marquitta Stewart. He was raised in Oklahoma City and attended John Marshall High School. Robert liked to fish, go camping, cook and hang out with his dog, Lulu, friends, family and girlfriend, Thelma.
    He was preceded in death by his mother, Marquitta Stewart; uncles Finis Stewart and Jack Elles; and cousin Linda Stewart.
    Robert is survived by his father, Bob Bell of Ardmore; sisters Carol Epperson and husband, Rick, of Ardmore, and Joy Pittman of Ardmore; brother Bobby Bell of Lone Grove; stepson Larry Stewart of Oklahoma City; nephews Adam Epperson of Ardmore and John Epperson of McKinney, Texas; niece Rikita Morris of Ardmore; uncles Joe Stewart of Golden Valley, Minn., Ira Stewart of Oklahoma City, and Paul Stewart of Frisco, Texas; aunts Bernice Elles of Ardmore, and Barbara Holder of Houston; three great-nieces; three great-nephews; numerous cousins; and his girlfriend, Thelma Marion, of Ft. Smith, Ark.
    Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Epperson, John Epperson, Jerry Elles, Rudy Elles, Gary Stewart and Lloyd Stewart. Tony McGee will serve as honorary bearer.
