Marietta — The Marietta Police Department, along with the Department of Human Services, is investigating the Tuesday injury of a child at Little Buckaroos Day Care and Preschool in Marietta.

Marietta Police Chief Dustin Scott said a mother picked up the four-month-old child at the daycare and took the child to Marietta Memorial Hospital. The child had several abrasions and cuts on its face. The police were informed of the incident after the child arrived at the hospital.

At this point, indications are another child caused the injuries. Scott said the investigation is being performed to find if the children were unattended and, if so, for how long. He also said the daycare has been very cooperative at this point of the investigation.
