Joshua Hinson, director of the Chickasaw Language Revitalization Program, and Ivan Ozbolt, doctoral candidate in anthropology at the University of Oklahoma, have compiled a survey to discover your thoughts on the Chickasaw language.

The survey is available online at

The 35-question survey takes about 20 minutes and asks for your views regarding the Chickasaw language and knowledge of current Chickasaw language revitalization programs. By taking the survey you will help community leaders and specialists strengthen Chickasaw Nation language programs. While the survey focuses on the Chickasaw language, anyone who is interested can take the survey.

Ozbolt has been interested in issues of language revitalization in Native American communities since the beginning of his graduate studies at the university. He has been attending Chickasaw language classes and other community events in Chickasaw Country over the last few years.
