  • A noon-hour heist may have gone as planned Friday, but there was definitely a glitch in the getaway for two of the three burglars.
Ardmore police nabbed two teenagers, one identified as a 16-year-old Ardmore resident and the other a 14-year-old from Lone Grove, as they fled the scene in the 700 block of Hargrove Street.
"Officers arriving on scene saw three subjects fleeing the area carrying stolen music equipment. One subject eluded officers and may have even taken to the roof of an area school. The school was checked, and the suspect was not found; no one at the school was ever in any danger," said Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt, Ardmore Police Department public information officer.
The stolen property was recovered, and the two teens taken into custody were interviewed at police headquarters. Hunnicutt said the parents of both youths were involved in the interviews.
Saturday afternoon, Hunnicutt said the third suspect, described as a tall slender black male with a red winter hat and dark clothing, remained at large.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the third suspect should contact police headquarters at (580) 223-1212.
