Eddie "Edd" Wayne Stanley age 64, died in Ardmore on December 5, 2013, at his home of natural causes. He was born on May 22, 1949, to Frank Henry Stanley and Gracie Stanley. He married Mary Taylor on July 15, 2004, in Gainsville, Texas.
He worked for 12 years at Kornhaas Construction as a carpenter. He was a great loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed wood carving and painting as hobbies. He has lived mostly in California and Oklahoma. He served his country during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970 and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army.
He is survived by his spouse, Mary Stanley of Ardmore; his children, Tammy Grace Utt of California, Brian Ringor Stanley of California, Jennifer Dianne Cruz and spouse, Philip Cruz of Ardmore, Misty Dawn Neely and spouse, Tony Neely of Ardmore, Karrahlinnah Paige Garrison of Ardmore; grandchildren, Heather, Bobby, Scott, Michael, Lacy, Dakota, Caitlinn, Payton, Zachary, and Jacob; brothers, Harrison Stanley of Georgia, Mike Stanley of Ohio; sisters, Carmelita Barnett of California, Nellie Jolly of California; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by parents, Mike and Gracie Stanley; brothers, Gene and Lloyd; and sisters, Nadine and Mary.
There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. located at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 120 Veterans Blvd, in Ardmore, Okla. Craddock Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
