Services for Beatrice V. Worsham, 88, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Ringling Church of Christ in Ringling, with Dr. Virgil Trout officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
Beatrice was born on February 4, 1925, at Orr, Oklahoma to Arthur John Webb and Bessie Viola (Hughes) Webb. She passed from this life Friday, December 6, 2013, at Ardmore.
Beatrice was raised at Atlee and graduated from Ringling High School in 1944.
She initially married Elmer Elmo Crabb and they were together several years. From this union, came a son, Johnny Earl and a daughter, Linda Sue. Later, Beatrice married Haskell Worsham and they made their home in Ringling. Haskell preceded her in death on November 24, 1984. She was on the Jefferson County Election Board and enjoyed helping at voting time. Beatrice also worked some at the Moore Drug Store. She was a member of Ringling Church of Christ. Beatrice loved to cook and crochet. She also enjoyed fishing and walking outside. Her greatest joy came from helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Haskell Worsham, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur John Webb and Bessie Viola (Hughes) Webb; siblings, Lorene, Lucille, Loyd, Bud, Faye, Louise and Babe; and grandson, Brett Bivens.
Survivors include her son, Johnny Earl Crabb and wife, Brenda of Wilson; daughter, Linda Sue Nipp of Ringling; grandchildren, Johnny Dale Nipp and wife, Shenna of Healdton, Melanie Martin and husband, Brandon of Ringling, Julie Baker and husband, Jessie of Wilson, and Andrew Bivens of Wilson; great-grandchildren, Megan, JaDee and Newt Nipp, Dustin and Mariah Martin, Rebeka Josey and Stephen Stillwell Jr., Riley Devon and Maddie Bivens and Allyson Bivens; caregiver, Judy Greenroyd of Ringling; and special friend, Sarah Snodgrass of Ringling.
Pallbearers are Brandon Martin, Dustin Martin, Jearl Greenroyd, Jim Snodgrass, Dink Rose and Randy Sloan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Lauren Southward for going above and beyond to care for Beatrice.
Visitation will be from 5-7 this evening at the Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
