  • Mildred Gaynell Miller, 74, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Healdton. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in The Chapel at Griffin-Hillcrest, with Gene Cormier and Jack Blunt officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
    Mildred was born July 1, 1939, to James B. Stinson and Ruth (Reach) Stinson at Ardmore. She attended and graduated from Ardmore Schools, Class of 1959. Mildred married Arlis Miller on June 19, 1961, at Gainesville, Texas. Mildred dedicated her life to the care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Eklektous Christian Church of Ardmore, the congregation was her second family. Mildred also enjoyed visiting with her friends at the Ardmore Senior Citizen's Center.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Nancy Studeman, granddaughter Candis Thompson, sister Betty Miller, nephew Randy Stinson and brother James Stinson.
    Mildred is survived by son James Miller and wife, Renee, of Healdton; grandchildren Amanda Scott and husband, Kenneth, Clay Thompson and wife, Kimberly, Ashley Miller and Manuel Zabala; great-grandchildren Kandace Scott, Kolton Scott, Elizabeth Thompson, Rylee Thompson and Dale Clayton Thompson IV; brother Bill Stinson of Azle, Texas; and good friend Virginia Charleston.
    Serving as pallbearers will be Clay Thompson, Kenneth Scott, Manuel Zabala, Paul Stinson, Bobby Stinson and David Cox.
    The family of Mildred Miller would like to thank the wonderful staff of Cross Timbers Hospice for their excellent care of Mildred. A special thank you also to Brenda Higgins.
