James J. Curry, 76, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, in Ardmore. There will be a family gathering from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Griffin-Hillcrest. Cremation services are under the direction of Hillcrest Crematory.

James was born Aug. 8, 1937, in Cambridge, Mass., to James Henry Curry and Anna (Arnella) Curry. He married Sue Fisher on June 21, 1957, in Ardmore. Serving his country during the Korean War, he later worked for Ardmore City Schools, where he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Kendall Stewart and sister Peggy Hayes.

James is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Linda Harnsberger and Dianna Thurman, and one son, Michael Curry, all of Ardmore; and four grandchildren, Holly Harnsberger, Angel Curry, Amy Thurman and Story Thurman, two great-grandchildren, Emily and Elizabeth, one brother, Bobby Curry and his wife, Maureen, and one sister, Carol Ciccia and husband, Larry, all of Massachusetts.
