Services for Richard Larry Turner, 61, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Ringling Church of Christ, with Dr. Virgil Trout officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Arpelar Cemetery in Arpelar, Okla. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
Larry was born June 7, 1952, at McAlester, to Lawrence Elsie Turner and Louise Juanita (Martin) Turner. He passed from this life Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Wilson.
Larry was raised in California and moved to Ringling in the mid-1980s. He married the former Belinda Thomas Dec. 31, 1989, at Ardmore, and they made their home in Zaneis. Larry worked as a cross country truck driver for several years, then as an EMT and, lastly, as a physical therapist for Odyssey of Ardmore where he was presently employed. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Wings of Life Motorcycle Club. Larry was a barber to many people, always enjoying cutting hair and was known by all his family as Uncle Fuzz. He enjoyed messing with and riding his tractors. Larry was a member of the Ringling Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Richard Woodall.
Survivors include his spouse of 20 years, Belinda Turner of Ringling; two sons, Lee Turner and Aaron "Spanky" Turner, both of Durant; two sisters, Bobby Woodall of Arpelar, Okla., and Phyllis Bridgeman and husband, Joe of Little City, Okla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers are Jay Thomas, J.T. Thomas, Sergio Gonzalez, Mike Hudson, Josh Hudson and Jarod Gandy.
Honorary bearers are the Wings of Life Motorcycle Club.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
