  • Laura Sue Sullivan Milner, 86, passed from this life to life everlasting at Dallas on Dec. 15, 2013. Daughter of the late William Ralph and Anna V. Sullivan, Sue was born on Aug. 1, 1927, at Ranger, Texas.
    At the age of 3, her family moved to Ardmore, where she grew up, attended school and was a graduate of Ardmore High School, the class of 1945. Sue married her high school sweetheart, Charles Robert "Bob" Milner, on June 10, 1948, at Ardmore; Bob preceded her in death Sept. 9, 1997.
    An active parishioner at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Sue was instrumental in the establishment of the local chapter of the Daughters of the King. She had been a member of the church choir, Episcopal Church Women and was active in many other church activities. Sue greatly loved taking care of her family and reaching out to others around her, both at church and in the surrounding community. She also volunteered at the Ardmore Lodge and the Bargain Box.
    Survivors include her sister, Joanne Henry, Salem, Ill.; two sons, Bob Milner and his wife, Mary Clare, of Dallas, and Tom Milner and his wife, Debbie, of The Woodlands, Texas; five grandchildren, Charlie, Andrew, Lauren, Brian and Bess; and a great-granddaughter, Lucy.
    Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, in St. Philip's Episcopal Church, officiated by Father Stephen R. Bilsbury, Rector. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either St. Philip's Episcopal Church or Ardmore Village.
    Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory will direct services.
