Older Americans - who have lived through more congresses - hold more negative views of the 113th Congress than younger Americans. Republicans, Democrats and independents also agree that this has been the worst session of Congress in their lifetimes." - CNN polling director Keating Holland, talking about the new poll that showed two-thirds of people think this is the worst Congress ever, and three-quarters say this was a “do-nothing Congress.”

    A Texas man was charged with a hate crime for a “knockout” attack on an elderly black man, the U.S. Justice Department said. Conrad Alvin Barrett, 27, is accused of attacking the man Nov. 24 unprovoked and said in a video, "The plan is to see if I were to hit a black person, would this be nationally televised?" The elderly man was knocked to the ground by a blow and suffered two jaw fractures and was hospitalized.
