AAA Oklahoma is offering free Tipsy Tows to all drivers, membership not required, now through 4 a.m. Jan 2, 2014. New Year’s partiers who feel unsafe behind the wheel after drinking can call 800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) for a free ride for themselves, their car and one more person. Just tell the AAA operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” and a truck will be on its way.

Tipsy Tow is a community service provided in major cities across Oklahoma (see below). However, the program is not available nationwide. Travelers heading out of state should check to determine if Tipsy Tow is offered in the states they’ll be visiting. This information can be found on the AAA Newsroom website.

There are two restrictions to AAA Oklahoma’s Tipsy Tow program –

1) Tows are limited to 15 miles from point of pickup;

2) There is only one place AAA will take motorists: home.

Free Tipsy Tows are available in metro Oklahoma City, metro Tulsa, Lawton, Ardmore, Enid, Muskogee, Shawnee, Bartlesville and Tahlequah.
