  • Services for Ronald James “Slim” Talkington will be at 11 a.m. Thurs­day, January 2, 2013, at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Bro. John Genn officiating. Visita­tion will be from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2013.
     
    He was born on August 9, 1946, in Sulphur, to Os­car D. “Twink” Talking­ton and Eula (Williams) Talkington. He passed away at his home on De­cember 28, 2013, in Ar­dmore. Ronald served in the United States Army, graduated from Dickson High School in 1966, and was a retired lineman for OG&E.
     
    He is survived by his daughters, Bethanie Talk­ington of the home, Mae­gena Walker and husband, Tony of Wilson, and Ange­la and husband, Bob Craw­ford of Ardmore; sons, Shawn Tucker and wife, Tabitha of Ardmore, and John Devlon Sifford and wife, Cristal of Decatur, Texas; sisters, Janie and husband, Bobby Bell of Lone Grove, and Faye and husband, Raymond Wil­liams of Millcreek, Okla.; brother, Frank Talkington and wife, Wanda, Drake, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
     
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Os­car D. “Twink” Talking­ton and Eula (Williams) Talkington; brothers, Charles Talkington and Quenten Talkington; and one granddaughter, Cassie Thompson.
     
    Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Thomp­son, John Devlon Sifford, Clay Bell, Dusty Thomp­son, Doug Williams, Chris Forson and Wesley Talk­ington. Honorary pall­bearers will be Bobby Bell, Raymond Williams, Billy Shans, Frank Talkington, Tony Normile, Timmy Taylor and Jamie Taylor.
