The Plainview wrestling team hosted its first duals on Tuesday against Marlow and Davis. The Indians beat Marlow 54-18 and were victorious against Davis 61-18. Against Marlow at 106 pounds, Bryce Smith won by fall over Ryan Cochrane. Darius Clark beat Gage O’Neal by fall at 113 pounds. Zach Atencio defeated Franklin Grover by fall at 120 pounds. Marlow’s Chris Davis defeated Tyler Lawrence by 2-0 decision at 126 pounds. Logan Knox beat Garrett Willis by fall at 132 pounds and Preston McCathern won by fall at 138 pounds. Tanner O’Neal beat Kyle Keenam by fall at 145 pounds. Marlow won by fall at 152 pounds with Nick Yates beating Jordan Rickets, and Marlow’s Seth Scarborough won by decision over Ruston Duke, 13-10, at 160 pounds. Jordan Walls added to the Indians’ win total with a decision over Bryce Shephard, 6-3, at 170 pounds. Kyle Lindsay beat Beau Meshal by 7-4 decision at 182 pounds and Austin Barrick defeated Quentin Maxfield 11-2 at 195 pounds. Cameron Hanan won by forfeit at 220 pounds and Dorian Fagan won his heavyweight match by fall over Seth Young. The Indians’ dominance carried over to the dual against Davis. Forfeits at 106, 120, 138, 170, 195 and 220 made the score appear more lopsided than it was. Kagen Wallis from Davis beat Plainview’s Dalton Welch by fall at 113 pounds. Plainview’s Stephen West beat Davis’ John Muniz by fall at 126 pounds, and Bodie won by 9-1 decision over Chuck Johnson at 145 pounds. Rickets bounced back in his second match with a win by fall over Davis’ H.D. Styles at 152 pounds. Plainview’s Ruston Duke beat Denver White by fall at 160 pounds, and Fagan won his second match of the night with a decision over Hunter Jones, 3-1, at heavyweight. Kyle Lindsay from Davis beat Conner Webb by fall at 182 pounds. The Indians traveled to Madill for a dual on Thursday. Results were unavailable as of press time.
