Ardmore police are seeking information about the man who robbed a local senior citizen at gunpoint Monday.

Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt, APD public information officer, said the robbery happened about 3:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Roff Street. The victim told officers he was on the telephone when he heard a knock on his door.

“The victim yelled to come in,” Hunnicutt said.

A black man, between the ages of 25 and 30 entered the house, pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. Hunnicutt said the victim complied and the man fled the area in an older model, brown Ford SUV.

The robber is described as about 5-feet 7-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was armed with what was described as a “dark-colored” handgun.

“We are asking for help in locating and identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to call the Ardmore Police Department (580) 223-1212 or Ardmore CrimeStoppers at (580) 224-STOP.
