For the 109th time in a long life, Lucaille Boyd celebrated yet another birthday Wednesday. Joining her fellow residents at Southbrook Nursing Facility in Ardmore for cake and punch, Boyd posed for photographs, received birthday wishes from special guests — including Ardmore Mayor Sheryl Ellis — and will have a high-traffic area at Southbrook renamed in her honor. Boyd was born in 1905 when Theodore Roosevelt was president and before Oklahoma was a state. A "street" sign will be mounted on the wall of the corridor where Boyd resides.
