Funeral services for Barbara Winkler are scheduled for Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Jessica Seay officiating. A private family interment will precede.
Barbara was born March 18, 1932, in Oklahoma City. She passed this life on March 15, 2014, in a Dallas hospital. She attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1954. Barbara moved to Ardmore from Oklahoma City 46 years ago, and was the retired advertising director for The Daily Ardmoreite, and member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald Maple of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Patricia Dahlem of Monument, Colo.; niece Amy Tackett Roberson of Oklahoma City; nephews Steve Maples of Houston and Mike Maples of Liberty Hills, Texas; aunt Evelyn Gant of Ardmore; her cousin, Chris Ridley of Ardmore; and a number of great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cleone Winkler; her father; grandparents Walter H. Gant and Evah Gant; and a brother, Billy Winkler.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Maples, Mike Maples, Chris Ridley, Russ Walker, El Westerfield, Todd Maloney and Paul Pitts,
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Meacham, Kenneth French, Jay Roberts and Don Yeager.
Memorials may be left to Faith Promise Mission, First United Methodist Church, 501 W. Main St., Ardmore, OK or your favorite charity.
