Outdoor Oklahoma magazine already has received hundreds of entries to its annual "Readers' Photography Showcase" contest, and the editors are asking Oklahomans for even more. Submissions are being accepted through April 15.
Outdoor Oklahoma is the official magazine of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, and it's annual "Readers' Photography Showcase" is presented each year in the July/August issue. The Showcase features digital images captured by sportsmen and wildlife enthusiasts from across the state showcasing the state's wildlife, landscapes, scenic and other outdoor imagery.
New this year, all entries to the "Readers' Photography Showcase" contest are being submitted by photographers online through wildlife department.com.
Participants whose photos are selected will have their photos published in the magazine and will also see their work posted throughout the year on the Department's Facebook page at facebook.com/wildlifedepartment, its Twitter feed @OKWildlifeDept and through other Department media outlets.
Each participant may submit up to five original digital images. Each submission must include a description of the photo, location taken, name and hometown of the photographer and what it took for the photographer to get the right shot. Photos should be in sharp focus, and images should be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch). All images remain the property of the photographer.
All entries must be digital and must be submitted online by logging on to http://wildlifedepartment.com/out_ok/reader.htm.
